About the role

  • Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proofs of concept, and RFx responses
  • Be the go-to technical expert on solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
  • Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue, with emphasis during Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof phases
  • Coordinate pre-sales efforts with the post-sales service delivery team throughout the sales cycle
  • Meet virtually and in-person to deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping solutions and their value to customers, partners, and industry events
  • Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners
  • Develop subject matter expert level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions
  • Travel to customer sites and events as needed (able to travel up to 30%)

Requirements

  • Significant experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role (pre-sales or consulting)
  • Demonstrable interest and experience in computer security or cybersecurity, applied or theoretical
  • Knowledge of open standards and protocols relating to identity and security (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect, social login, Single Sign-On)
  • Familiarity with using REST APIs and working with JSON data; experience with modern programming/scripting languages advantageous
  • Knowledge of foundational infrastructure and networking technologies (virtual machines, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancers, proxies)
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform) is beneficial
  • Engaging interpersonal and customer service skills: verbal, written, and listening/understanding, objection handling and solution discovery
  • Ability to relate proposed solution technical capabilities back to customer needs in a narrative style
  • Ability to work with a high level of self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers
  • A passion for learning; ability to learn in a self-directed way and to seek out help and guidance when required
  • Fluent in Spanish and located in Spain, with ability to easily travel to Madrid or Barcelona
  • Portuguese knowledge would be a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (typically less)
