About the role

Senior Product Designer at ZAGENO driving design for scientist and supplier experiences. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product usability and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design from discovery, prototyping, interface design, through final hand-off, across scientist-facing and supplier-facing workflows.
Translate user research, business goals, and analytics into intuitive, scalable design solutions for complex scenarios (e.g. search & discovery, dashboards, supplier order flows).
Design interaction flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for both Web product features and internal / platform tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, AI / Data teams and Operations to ensure feasibility and alignment while pushing for high usability and excellence.
Contribute to or evolve our Design System — ensure UI consistency, support scalable components, and shape reusable patterns for both B2C-style and B2B-SaaS features.
Advocate for both end-user delight (scientists) and operational efficiency / clarity (supplier tools), balancing visual design, accessibility, and system constraints.
Apply metrics, analytics, usability testing, and user feedback to iterate designs and improve key performance indicators (e.g. task success, error rates, conversion, supplier satisfaction).
Communicate design rationale and decisions clearly to stakeholders across engineering, product leadership, and operations, influencing product strategy.

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Visual Communication or related field.
6+ years of product design experience working across web applications or SaaS / marketplace platforms
Strong portfolio that shows both user-facing (consumer / marketplace style) and internal / enterprise / platform design work.
Proficiency in design & prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD etc.).
Deep understanding of interaction / UI design patterns, responsive design, accessibility, and design system best practices.
Experience designing for B2B / SaaS workflows (dashboards, permissioned roles, analytics, enterprise tools) and user-facing / consumer-style flows (search / discovery / checkout).
Comfortable working with data / AI-driven products: collaborating with data / ML teams to design recommendation / personalization interfaces.
Proven track record of solving ambiguous, complex design problems and influencing product strategy via design.
Experience building or evolving design systems; thinking in components & reusable patterns across multiple product domains.
Strong verbal & written communication skills: able to present your work to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities; bias for iteration, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
