Senior Pricing Analyst supporting market models' performance improvement for Hastings Direct. Collaborating with Data Scientists and Pricing Practitioners using advanced analytics and ML techniques.
Responsibilities
Support in the generation and assessment of leads for improving the performance of Hastings’ suite of market models, using traditional and latest pricing and modelling techniques.
Maintain a robust technical understanding of the market models built by Market Pricing.
Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of market trends.
Conduct analytical and ML analysis using market data, using or trialling existing toolkits where relevant.
Create and maintain analytical and ML tools to support, standardise and automate lead generation.
Identify ways for extracting value out of existing and new data.
Present insights and proposed solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience in general insurance
Strong data analytics skills with a track record of generating insight and commercial value.
Strong interest in emerging market trends.
Familiarity with at least two coding languages (e.g. SQL, R and Python) or demonstrable ability to quickly pick up these languages.
Experience in developing statistical models (traditional GLMs or ML).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Modellers and Pricing Practitioners.
