About the role
- Support UK clients as a Senior Technical Consultant for network and infrastructure projects
- Network design, implementation, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments
- Implement routing and switching protocols and manage vendor equipment (Dell, Cisco, HP/Aruba)
- Configure and maintain network security technologies (Sophos, Fortigate, Palo Alto)
- Design and implement wireless networking (802.11 enterprise WLAN)
- Deploy and manage WAN solutions (Cisco Meraki, VMware VeloCloud)
- Monitor networks and optimize performance using monitoring tools
- Configure network services and integrate networking with identity systems
- Implement VMware/Hyper-V networking (NSX, VXLAN) and hypervisor solutions
- Design Disaster Recovery and High Availability network architectures
- Deliver Storage Area Network and backup/replication solutions
- Lead network migrations and large-scale infrastructure transformations (data centre moves, cloud transitions, hardware refreshes)
- Provide project technical leadership and client-facing consultation/presentations
- Manage multiple client engagements, travel to client sites, and attend HQ periodically
Requirements
- Strong experience in enterprise networking, security, and cloud (Azure/AWS)
- Hands-on networking experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting across enterprise environments
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (Dell, Cisco, HP/Aruba)
- Experience with network security technologies (Sophos, Fortigate, Palo Alto)
- Wireless networking (802.11 standards, enterprise WLAN design)
- WAN experience (Cisco Meraki, VMware VeloCloud)
- Experience with network monitoring and performance optimization tools
- Network services configuration
- VMware/Hyper-V networking experience (NSX, VXLAN)
- Cloud networking (Azure, AWS)
- Integration of networking with identity systems
- Strong server operating system skills (Windows, Unix)
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability Network Design experience
- Experience delivering Storage Area Network solutions
- Experience delivering hypervisor solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local)
- Experience in Backup and replication technologies
- Experience leading network migrations or transformations (data centre moves, cloud transitions, large-scale hardware refreshes)
- Project management and technical leadership capabilities
- Client-facing consultation and technical presentation skills
- Network documentation and architecture design
- CCNP/CCIE level preferred
- VMware VCP
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Interest in pursuing advanced certifications
