About the role
- Lead design, specification, and analysis of electrical power systems for generation, transmission, distribution, and substations
- Perform system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, transient analysis) to ensure safety and reliability
- Develop equipment specifications, review vendor packages, and support procurement and commissioning
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and interconnection requirements
- Partner with facilities, subsurface, contractors, and vendors to deliver integrated project solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to development of company-wide electrical standards
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify, accelerate, and enhance design quality
- Report to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems
- Expertise in power delivery systems, including transmission, distribution, and substations
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear, actionable decision
