About the role

  • Support the strategy and executive teams as they make key strategic decisions
  • Prepare high-quality presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Advise business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities
  • Participate in the development of long-range strategies
  • Create and execute analytics solutions that lead to improvement and optimization in business performance and risk minimization
  • Work in collaboration with other business leaders to drive decisions based on data, facts, and analytical findings across the organization
  • Build and maintain models to support fact-based decision making with regards to long range planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to aid the prioritization of corporate strategies (new products, product expansions, M&A, etc.)
  • Build models to assist in the evaluation of new products and strategies
  • Evaluate individual market opportunities by assessing clinical need, reimbursement outlook, estimating market size, understanding product capabilities
  • Support ad-hoc strategy projects involving market research, external consultants, and internal cross-functional teams
  • Analyze new product markets and help determine early commercialization strategies
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in a core business function (e.g., operations, facilities, finance, legal, human resources, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience working in corporate strategy, investment banking, business development, consulting, analytics, strategic marketing, or commercial strategy
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel
  • Strong analytical skills, business intuition, and organizational ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a cross cultural and complex matrix environment and build consensus across functions
  • Demonstrated qualitative and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Preferred: Background in Math, Science, Engineering, Business or Finance
  • Preferred: 4+ years of experience working in a core business function
  • Preferred: Experience in a healthcare related field
  • Preferred: Advanced skills in PowerPoint and/or Excel
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data analytics and financial modeling
