About the role

• Senior Consultant developing big data hypotheses and analytics. Collaborating with stakeholders and handling project management for financial services analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop big data hypotheses and validate them for risk, and product analytics in the Mortgage, Home Equities, Credit Card and payments sector.
• Perform external research and communications with client teams.
• Work in concert with business stakeholders to perform audit of customer data analyses in default, loan (student, auto) servicing.
• Responsible for project task management; communications, including deck writing; coordination of all team efforts; delivery of output; facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring; and effective management of frequency of feedback loop with offshore resources.
• Define project scope, deliverables and dependencies.
• Work closely with other project managers for end-to end delivery of the projects.
• Utilize SAS, SQL, Hive, Tableau, Excel, Python, Spark and other statistical software to carry out analysis.
• Use EXL analytics methodologies and analysis tools, and licensed software to perform data extraction, data understanding, variable reduction, Big Data processing, data analysis model development, and model validation.
• May lead project teams.
• Play a crucial role in supporting firm development activities by training, staffing, performing recruitment and business development support.
• Deliver data analytics presentations to clients, senior executives.
• International travel may be required to other EXL offices. This position will require travel within the U.S. to client sites and other EXL offices. Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Requirements

• Requires Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Analytics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or a related field plus two (2) years of Experience in data processing, data extraction, and data analysis.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience with the following: Strategy planning, business analysis, data analysis and validation in multiple functions;
• Working in different areas of project execution including planning, business analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, and testing;
• Transforming data to support reporting and analytics needs;
• Business Intelligence (BI) tools, including Excel and Tableau;
• Coding using Python, R and SQL;
• Presenting findings and insights to leadership;
• Quality assurance practices, including project charter, project plan development, test strategy development, test plan development, test case and test data review, and test automation review.
• Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years of experience in data processing, data extraction, and data analysis in lieu of a Master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in data processing, data extraction, and data analysis.
