About the role
- Lead projects to deliver C&I solutions for refurbishment and decommissioning of nuclear infrastructure
- Production of clear and concise technical reports
- Review and verification of technical documentation produced by others
- Production of Safety Case documentation
- Provide technical leadership of C&I teams on large projects or multi-discipline teams on simple projects
- Deliver technical solutions to complex problems
- Regular communication with clients and stakeholders, building and nurturing strong relationships
- Production of bids and proposals
- Take responsibility for the delivery of your work and your team
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders both remotely and from their premises
- Work in a collaborative and supportive office/site environment for a minimum of half of your working week
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in electronic engineering, control engineering, safety-critical systems or equivalent
- Senior technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and extensive experience leading and developing others
- Strong understanding of nuclear safety case requirements
- Demonstrable experience in nuclear defence projects
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience producing and reviewing high-quality technical documentation
- Experience in production of Safety Case documentation (desirable)
- Experience in functional safety and safety-critical C&I systems design (desirable)
- Understanding of commercial and client management principles and sound commercial acumen (desirable)
- Chartered status with a relevant professional institution (desirable)
- Proven record of delivering technically challenging projects
- May require security clearance (UKSV) and proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer
