About the role

  • Take ownership of the AP process end-to-end and act as the go-to person for AP queries
  • Manage expenses, company credit cards, payments, purchase orders and reconciliation
  • Monitor and respond to internal and external queries via the shared Accounts inbox
  • Produce key financial reports and documentation, including HMRC customs reporting and import tax obligations
  • Assess and optimise existing processes to remove bottlenecks and simplify workflows
  • Assist the Financial Controller with broader finance-related tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Expertise in AP / Purchase Ledger processes (invoices, expenses, payments using Purchase Orders)
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Accounting/expense management platforms
  • Experience developing and implementing Accounts Payable processes and identifying improvements
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Solid organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • (Useful) Experience dealing with import duties/import documentation
  • (Useful) Familiarity with Xero and ExpenseIn
