About the role

  • Sales Development Representative generating leads for an AI Security startup. Engage with prospects and facilitate qualified meetings for the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through a combination of inbound and outbound strategies, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach. Strong emphasis on proactive outbound prospecting - researching target accounts, personalizing outreach, and driving first-touch conversations to create pipeline.
  • Qualifying Leads: Engage with leads to qualify their needs, budget, and timeline, and ensure they are a good fit for our platform.
  • Nurture Relationships: Build rapport and maintain ongoing communication with prospects, educating them on our product offerings and the value of WitnessAI.
  • Scheduling Demos/Meetings: Book qualified meetings and product demos for the sales team, ensuring smooth transitions from SDR to the supporting Regional Sales Director(s).
  • CRM Management: Update and manage prospect data in our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accurate tracking of outreach, meetings, and pipeline activity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and the marketing team to align efforts and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Sales Training & Development: Participate in regular training sessions to sharpen your sales skills and knowledge about our products, the industry, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a sales development, business development, or lead generation role (preferably in SaaS or technology).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
  • Self-motivated with a hunger to learn, grow, and exceed goals.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle objections and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
