About the role

  • Support the bank’s Operational Risk function from a Second Line perspective and maintain the Operational Risk Framework (ORF), related policies and procedures
  • Ensure the effective operation of the bank’s GRC system and processes
  • Work with the Senior Operational Risk Manager to deliver the Operational Risk Assurance plan, including control testing, assurance reviews, deep-dive assessments and scenario analysis feeding into ICAAP and ILAAP
  • Partner with the First Line of Defence on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, including annual refreshes
  • Maintain the Risk Register to ensure risks are accurately recorded, monitored and action plans remain on track
  • Contribute quantitative and qualitative input to operational risk reporting and monitor Key Risk Indicators
  • Support development and monitoring of the bank’s Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Framework
  • Assist senior risk leaders including the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer in analysing the bank’s overall risk profile and producing monthly reports
  • Promote a risk-focused culture across the bank and help embed the Three Lines of Defence

Requirements

  • Strong Operational Risk knowledge and experience including RCSAs, Controls and Risk Libraries, Risk Event reporting, Risk Registers
  • Experience operating and maintaining GRC systems and processes
  • Experience contributing to control testing, assurance reviews, deep-dive assessments and scenario analysis (feeding into ICAAP and ILAAP)
  • Focused upon delivering results and meeting deadlines
  • Good, clear communicator
  • Ability to provide necessary challenge in a constructive manner
  • Strong team player
