About the role

  • Conduct risk assessments to support risk-informed decision making
  • Apply fit-for-purpose risk assessment methodologies to identify and evaluate operational risks—including health & safety, operations, environment, reputation, and financial aspects
  • Apply ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) principle in risk assessments and communication of results
  • Conduct risk tolerability assessments
  • Conduct value assessments (risk and benefit analysis)
  • Develop expertise and best company practices in risk modelling
  • Engage collaborators to understand their needs in risk assessment
  • Report on risks with clear documentation to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Exercise independent judgment in selecting appropriate risk methodologies

Requirements

  • Related university degree in Engineering or equivalent, with P. Eng. or P. Eng underway
  • Four-plus years’ experience or six-plus years of previous field operations experience
  • Relevant industry experience of conducting and managing Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), especially FTA, ETA and consequence analysis
  • Highly numerate, logical, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to details
  • Ability to present and facilitate to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Preference for those with experience in integrity and/or reliability and/or pipeline engineering
