- Manage resource capacity and allocation, ensuring operational efficiency at a tech consultancy. Collaborate with COEs and Delivery to optimize resource utilization and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation’s capacity and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of the team, accuracy in assignments, and maximization of revenue.
- Timesheet Management: Administer and control the timesheet tool, ensuring correct time entries and the updating of vacations, holidays and absences.
- Capacity Analysis: Assess the team’s productive capacity, identify availability and adjust allocations according to project demand.
- Resource Planning: Plan and coordinate the allocation of human resources, taking into account skills, seniority and project needs.
- Technical Skills Map: Maintain an up-to-date mapping of the team’s technical and functional skills to support accurate allocation and development decisions.
- Utilization Monitoring: Track utilization, productivity and billable hours metrics.
- Billing Management: Ensure all professionals are correctly allocated and that their hours are recorded for billing purposes.
- Partnership with COEs and Delivery: Collaborate to reduce idle periods and mitigate revenue loss due to deallocations.
- Reports and Analysis: Prepare capacity, performance and utilization reports, providing strategic insights to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements in resource management processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in capacity management and resource allocation within technology operations or consulting.
- Timesheet management and control of billable hours.
- Basic knowledge of service billing.
- Familiarity with productivity, efficiency and utilization metrics.
- Experience mapping technical skills and IT professional profiles.
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
- Timesheet tool (capacity management).
- Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools (preferred).
