About the role

  • Ensure on-time and complete execution of daily, weekly, and monthly forecasting activities to achieve forecast accuracy and value-add metrics
  • Lead meetings with business stakeholders (sales, marketing, finance) to obtain market information
  • Maintain the regional consensus forecast through monthly processes including root cause analysis and forecast adjustments
  • Identify forecast adjustment opportunities using reports and statistical forecast enrichment
  • Handle forecasts for products in shortage and New Product Introduction (NPI) forecasting
  • Perform event forecasting (Projects, Promos & Campaigns)
  • Run Monthly Business Volume Review meetings with Regional Business Unit leadership and Controlling
  • Perform risk analysis, prepare scenarios, and drive senior management discussions for forecast-related decisions
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve demand forecasting accuracy and efficiency
  • Broaden stakeholders' understanding of demand planning principles and drive harmonization and continuous improvement of regional processes
  • Lead regional projects and participate as an expert in assigned projects (regional or global)
  • Provide mutual support and back-up within the demand planning team and assist in skill development

Requirements

  • University degree (preferred Supply Chain specialization)
  • IBF / APICS certification as a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in a demand planning role
  • Experience within a matrix organized multinational company
  • OMP tool knowledge is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (C1 level or higher)
  • Track record to drive continuous improvement (Project Management skills as a plus)
  • Capability to liaise with and influence senior stakeholders (e.g., sales management)
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator (e.g., ABP, PNS reconciliation)
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tough deadlines
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, international and virtual environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Relevant IT access (e.g., workflows, software, system)
