About the role

  • Is responsible for daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC and refrigeration related systems
  • Supervise the AC Technician and ensure that all maintenance and repair work are carried out in a professional manner
  • Manage the HVAC and refrigeration section within the AMOS maintenance and spare part program and ensure logs are up-to-date
  • Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration areas and enforce high standards of cleanliness and upkeep
  • Inspect galley, laundry and launderettes exhaust ducts; ensure cleaning routines and records are properly executed
  • Manage budgetary accounts related to HVAC/refrigeration areas
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations; report failures and malfunctions to Staff Chief Engineer
  • Report irregularities to Staff Chief Engineer and avoid unauthorized modifications or projects
  • Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and servicing
  • Monitor refrigerant consumption and maintain the Refrigerant Gas Logbook
  • Execute maintenance requests from other departments
  • Appraise and familiarize crew members; update ventilation drawings
  • Adhere to Company Policies, Procedures, Manuals and Directives

  • Supervise the AC Technician and ensure maintenance and repair work are carried out professionally
  • Responsible for the HVAC and refrigeration section of the AMOS System maintenance and spare part program; ensure logging of maintenance and spare parts are up-to-date
  • Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration section insisting on high standard of cleanliness and upkeep
  • Inspect cleanliness and safety of galley, laundry and launderettes exhaust ducts and ensure cleaning routines and records are executed
  • Responsible for all budgetary accounts related to HVAC/refrigeration areas
  • Ensure systems follow rules and regulations; report failures and malfunctions to Staff Chief Engineer
  • Report any irregularity observed in area of work to Staff Chief Engineer
  • No modifications or projects without consent of Chief Engineer
  • Coordinate with contractors for maintenance work and servicing
  • Monitor consumption of refrigerants and report irregular situations immediately
  • Responsible for maintaining the Refrigerant Gas Logbook
  • Execute maintenance requests from all departments in area of responsibility
  • Appraisal of crew under him; conduct specific familiarization of subordinates
  • Update and maintain the ventilation drawings
  • Adhere and comply with all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives
