About the role

  • Define the product vision in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, taking into account trends in the accounting industry and user needs.
  • Translate business requirements into concrete, useful, and differentiating features, always keeping usability and regulatory compliance in mind.
  • Prioritize development work within an Agile approach, maximizing value delivered each sprint.
  • Work closely with development and UI/UX design teams to ensure a smooth and effective user experience.
  • Model usage through personas, user journeys, and typical accounting scenarios (e.g., invoice management, bank reconciliations).
  • Ensure the quality and relevance of deliverables by validating features and measuring their impact on users.
  • Train and inform internal teams about product updates, and contribute to the go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence to position the product as a reference in the field.
  • Act as a product ambassador, facilitating communication between technical teams, users, and leadership.
  • Communicate with influence: translate requirements into clear language for technical teams and rally stakeholders around the product vision.
  • Measure success: define key performance indicators and monitor product evolution to maximize its impact.
  • Monitor the market: perform regular benchmarks to stay ahead of competitors.
  • Act as a cross-functional leader: build bridges between teams, foster collaboration, and instill a strong product culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management, ideally within B2B or accounting software.
  • Accounting designation (asset)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or another relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes (major asset).
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with the ability to prioritize and make decisions quickly.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to turn data into product insights.
  • Natural leadership, able to rally teams around a shared vision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer orientation, with a passion for creating useful and intuitive solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of English is required, as we have English-speaking clients, partners, and vendors, and the role may occasionally require communication in English.
