About the role

  • Principal UX Designer contributing to digital business transformation and collaborating with engineers and leaders. Establishing a new design practice while creating user-centered solutions and effective tools.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to digital business transformation initiatives through hands-on product design work
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, operations and business leaders to design effective digital tools
  • Support operational workflows and emerging AI-enabled tools with user-centered solutions
  • Help establish a new design practice by defining ways of working, processes, and best practices
  • Create end-to-end design artifacts, wireframes, prototypes, and journey maps

Requirements

  • 7+ years of UX design experience, with a portfolio showcasing complex workflows, systems thinking, and enterprise-grade solutions
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect design decisions to operational outcomes
  • Experience guiding design and design research tool selection and implementation
  • Experience with AI platforms (e.g., Google Cloud AI suite)
  • Experience designing for enterprise tools and operational workflows
  • Familiarity with dashboard design and tools used in manufacturing or supply chain contexts
  • Industry experience in manufacturing and supply chain is a strong bonus; B2B life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology sectors also considered
  • Experience designing for AI-driven platforms, including systems that incorporate automation, feedback loops, or agent-based UX
  • Familiarity with platforms like Google Cloud’s AI suite or comparable technologies
  • Experience leading design system strategy and governance
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new design tools or frameworks
  • Highly proficient in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and design system management
  • Strong expertise in journey mapping, service design, and simplifying complex or technical processes
  • Comfortable working directly with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders throughout the design process
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to clearly present design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting design rationale to executive stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills for cross-functional workshops
  • Experience designing for measurable outcomes
  • Familiarity with experience measurement tools or frameworks
  • Ability to define success metrics for design initiatives
