About the role

  • Lead and deliver complex strategic Medical Affairs engagements at organizational and asset levels
  • Serve as primary strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to senior Medical Affairs clients
  • Provide executive leadership to project teams from design through final deliverables, accountable for quality of outputs
  • Moderate senior-level advisory boards and strategic workshops
  • Allocate ~60% time to client project leadership and ~40% to business development and firm-building
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, lead proposal development, generate leads, and deepen client relationships
  • Contribute to firm strategy, propose new service offerings, and help grow the business
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, champion professional development and foster collaborative culture
  • Develop thought leadership and intellectual capital on Medical Affairs topics
  • Collaborate across Lumanity practice areas to leverage broader organizational capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field (minimum)
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MBA) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Significant portion of experience in life sciences strategy consulting
  • Direct pharmaceutical industry or Medical Affairs experience highly desirable
  • Extensive experience leading consulting projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrated mastery of managing project scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Solid understanding of scientific and clinical aspects of drug development
  • Knowledgeable about pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance environment, including PhRMA Code
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20-30%
