About the role

  • Pricing Analyst managing customer RFPs, repricing and SAP pricing at Applied, a Canadian industrial distributor.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with Applied’s Canadian Pricing Team, Chargeback Team, Strategic Account team (SA), Branch Service center (SC) Field Sales/Operations and Corporate Operations teams to support Applied’s revenue and margin growth plans
  • Lead or assist in Pricing activities including pricing and margin analysis, gross margin enhancement activities, rebate analysis, and other activities as required
  • Work with the Digital Order Desk Team and Field to help onboard and implement digital/portal accounts
  • Lead/support efforts to normalize and identify products contained in Strategic Account client Request for Pricing (RFP) data files and repricing exercice
  • Provide input into how Applied’s Client RFP processes can be improved and automated
  • Work with SAMs/BDMs/field personnel to establish appropriate Pricing and supplier Chargebacks (CB) for each Client RFP
  • Input all required data into SAP in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure that the correct landed, rebated costs, gross margins (or mark ups), and price levels are calculated correctly for all primary and alternative suppliers requested/allowed by SA or Field clients during each RFP
  • Proactively enhance product knowledge in primary product Bearing & Power Transmission (BPT) and product Fluid Power & Industrial Maintenance Supply/Maintenance area
  • Support the utilization of tools and processes, that that can improve Applied’s quotation and pricing activities
  • Communicate with clients as required to support the development of an accurate SA client RFP response
  • Other activities to support business needs as required
  • Train and mentor other team members as required

  • Industry knowledge in wholesale or distribution

  • 5 or more years of industry experience is an asset
  • Experience and knowledge in Bearings & P.T.
  • Experience with FP & MRO products is an asset
