About the role
- Payroll Implementation Consultant managing payroll transition project for Australia and New Zealand at Kraken. Focused on end-to-end migration to new payroll system and compliance verification.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary project manager for the ANZ payroll transition to the payroll vendor.
- Work closely with overall team to integrate the new payroll system with our HRIS platform, HiBob.
- Manage data migration, payroll setup, and configuration testing to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation.
- Ensure all payroll compliance requirements (e.g., ATO requirements, STP, superannuation, leave accruals, payroll tax, WorkCover, FBT where applicable) are correctly configured within new vendor’s system.
- Document all new payroll and system processes, controls, and workflows.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the current and the new provider, internal local and global teams.
Requirements
- Significant, demonstrated experience leading an end-to-end payroll system implementation or a major system transition, preferably within a SaaS or scaling multinational environment.
- Deep, current technical knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation, tax, and regulatory requirements (e.g., STP compliance, superannuation).
- Prior experience with HiBob is beneficial. Experience with Cloudpay, Papaya Global or other cloud-based global payroll solutions is highly regarded.
- A highly proactive, detail-oriented, and autonomous self-starter comfortable managing a critical project timeline.
- A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
