About the role

  • Demonstrate Xero solutions in a pre-sales context to accountants and bookkeepers
  • Work closely with external stakeholders ensuring deeper adoption of the Xero platform within an accounting practice
  • Engage in regular face-to-face, virtual and phone meetings with relevant internal and external stakeholders managing pre-sales and project priorities
  • Assist partners with data conversions through detailed project planning and training guidance
  • Handle partner technical questions and escalations
  • Hold partners accountable to collaboration plans and initiation schedules
  • Educate partners on all partner resources available
  • Update CRM system with all client communications including calls, emails and meetings
  • Maintain and update CRM system of all practice staff and contact details
  • Respond in a timely manner to all partner inquiries
  • Manage the creation of resources (processes/videos) for frequently asked questions from partners
  • Present full go-to-market solutions for accounting partners and nurture relationships through events and customized workshops
  • Analyze and recommend solutions for internal and/or client workflow efficiencies
  • Spend up to 50% of time in the field meeting prospective partners and hosting Xero events and certifications

Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice and systems
  • CPA certification a plus
  • Experience in accounting practice operations
  • Savvy tech skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High emotional quotient (EQ) and strong business acumen
  • Effective communication and outstanding presentation skills
  • Ability to question and probe stakeholders to uncover opportunities
  • Experience managing pre-sales and project priorities
  • Ability to assist partners with data conversions through detailed project planning and training guidance
  • Ability to handle partner technical questions and escalations
  • Experience maintaining and updating CRM systems with client communications and contact details
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and create partner resources
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 50%
