About the role

  • Work as part of a team to deliver paralegal support to the Asset, Trade and Export Finance Banking team
  • Use precedents to draft basic documentation
  • Manage and keep organised conditions precedent
  • Assist with the co-ordination of and preparation for the closing of transactions
  • Assist with any post completion registrations or other steps that may be needed
  • Be responsible for producing transaction bibles and distributing original documents
  • Liaising with clients and counterparties in a timely, courteous and professional manner
  • Drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of fee earners
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Providing administrative support to fee earners
  • Filing and maintaining correspondence and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years previous Banking paralegal experience (essential)
  • A qualification in law, minimum 2.1 (Degree, Graduate Diploma in Law)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (especially Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to very tight deadlines (essential)
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task
  • Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate drive and initiative
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to deal effectively with Partners and professionals across the firm
  • Sociable and a good team player
