About the role

  • This full-time, University Staff position is responsible for providing high-level program support to the Department of Orthopedics, including Section Chiefs, faculty, and staff.
  • Responsible for the coordination of their program(s) and their faculty across several UCHealth sites along the front range.
  • Communicate, document and support all of the efforts for the faculty and maintain relationships with various personnel throughout the School of Medicine and Affiliate Hospitals.
  • Exercise critical judgment and considerable initiative in administrative management.
  • Provide cross coverage for other administrative positions as needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • One (1) year of professional level administrative support experience in a higher education or healthcare setting.
  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Two (2) years of professional level administrative support experience in a higher education or healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects, adhering to project timelines, and reporting on progress (preferred)
  • Experience coordinating travel and related purchasing and expense reimbursements in the Concur system (preferred)
  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and staff within a higher education and/or medical education environment (preferred)
  • Experience in managing multiple schedules accurately and efficiently (preferred)
