About the role

  • Manage the Premier League’s eCommerce platform (shop.premierleague.com) and merchandise sold at international events
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with online and onsite retail partners and agencies
  • Report on retail operations, including Quarterly Business Reviews with retail partners and retail budget tracking
  • Collaborate with partners and internal teams to optimise marketing across SEO, SEM, paid media, email, CRM and affiliate programmes to drive traffic, conversion and retention
  • Manage product catalogue across retail touch points and work with Brand, Partnership and Licensee teams on product design and licensed product opportunities
  • Ensure product design resonates with fans and run focus groups where appropriate
  • Ensure retail partners adhere to Premier League policies (e.g. ethical sourcing, modern slavery)
  • Coordinate UX/UI optimisation, customer experience, and utilisation of customer, behavioural and transactional data to inform retail strategy
  • Develop and execute event retail plans with Events & International Engagement, including store set-up, merchandising and coordination with clubs, partners and venues
  • Support development of long-term retail strategy and identify opportunities for expansion and innovation

Requirements

  • Experienced eCommerce Manager with deep understanding of driving sales, merchandise design, product mix and pricing
  • Ability to apply expertise into other retail environments including onsite international events
  • Knowledge of, and passion for ecommerce and merchandising
  • Experience in budget reporting, preparing sales data and interpreting/presenting insights to inform strategy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage critical paths and projects on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages (e.g. MS Office suite)
  • Previous experience managing ecommerce partner
  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Experience coordinating digital marketing across SEO, SEM, paid media, email, CRM and affiliate programmes
