About the role

  • Support National and Regional strategic plans to achieve individual and team top line sales targets
  • Establish, develop and maintain key relationships with end user partners through product and services solutions
  • Develop, coach and mentor the team of Trade Specialists reporting directly to you to achieve KPI’s, deliverables and targets
  • Complete effective “work withs” monthly at a minimum with the end goal of training, developing, and motivating the team to take market share
  • Ensure team has appropriate product and sales skills training by working with the Regional Field Trainer and through directly facilitating training on proper techniques for product demonstrations
  • Act as the local product line expert for all lines
  • Act as a liaison between your team of Trade Specialists and other internal teams including but not limited to local IC Field Account Managers, NAMs, Channel Marketing and Trade Association Managers
  • Maintain daily communication lines with the Regional Market Manager on business and employee opportunities and risks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields
  • Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results preferred
  • Prior management/team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel at least 50% of the month within territory assignment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with SalesForce, PowerBI, Showpad Coach or other CRM/sales optimization system preferred
  • Able to relocate for future roles over time.
