About the role

  • Lead development of evidence-based policy frameworks addressing technology and democracy challenges
  • analyze emerging threats to electoral integrity and platform governance
  • synthesize Institute research into actionable policy recommendations for government decision-makers
  • Build and maintain relationships with congressional staff, regulatory agencies, and election officials
  • advocate for research-backed policies through hearings, regulatory proceedings, and multi-stakeholder forums
  • Translate academic research into accessible policy briefs, white papers, and testimony
  • Cultivate Strategic Partnerships with civil society organizations, international democracy groups, and technology companies
  • Manage budget of ~$100,000 to be invested in Dublin Innovation Institute and EU-related research impact work

Requirements

  • minimum 6 years administrative and leadership experience
  • An advanced degree in public policy, law, political science, or related field
  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, including federal or state policymakers
  • familiarity with university setting and academic stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated in high-stakes government and academic setting
