About the role
- Manager for Seminarhäuser Essentis and Lebensgut Pommritz overseeing operations and personnel management. Focus on excellent service and sustainable practices at the venues in Berlin and Pommritz.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the operation, personnel, development and budget of the Essentis seminar houses and Lebensgut Pommritz
- Leadership, rostering and coaching of the small on-site teams (Essentis approx. 7–9 people, Pommritz approx. 4–5) (reception, housekeeping, technical, service, kitchen)
- Organization and assurance of smooth seminar operations including room planning, catering and technical setup
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to work in different areas of the house as needed
- Quality management, guest feedback and continuous improvement of service standards
- Purchasing, contract and cost management as well as facility and maintenance management
- Development of processes (digitalization & sustainability) and collaboration with other departments
Requirements
- Completed training or degree in hotel management, hospitality or event management or equivalent
- Several years of leadership experience in operational teams including recruiting, coaching and change management
- Strong host mindset and high service orientation to ensure operational excellence
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders, board and owners as well as good German (C1/C2) and English skills (min. B2) for daily coordination
- Willingness to travel between sites and flexible working hours during peak times (otherwise regular working hours Mon–Fri)
- Hands-on mentality, decisiveness and solution-oriented thinking
