About the role

  • Develop and implement a plan to use disclosure and transparency to drive private sector and financial institution action to prevent plastic pollution and accelerate circular economy
  • Work with the Lead, Plastics & Circular Economy on evolution of CDP’s focus on Plastics and Circular Economy principles
  • Identify and implement ideas to increase CDP disclosers' ability to disclose plastic-related data
  • Carry out research, mapping and other tasks to understand scope and impact of external initiatives relevant to plastics and circular economy
  • Identify how CDP’s thematic strategies, disclosure frameworks, and capacity building programs can be adapted for plastics and circular economy
  • Provide plastics & circular economy disclosure metrics for commercial products, supply chain and financial institutions
  • Work with product teams to inform product development opportunities
  • Lead capacity building and knowledge sharing among CDP’s external-facing teams on plastics and circular economy
  • Represent CDP externally on plastics issues as necessary
  • Support account managers engaging corporates on plastics and their relation to waste and circular economy
  • Embed plastics in existing messaging and develop separate communications
  • Contribute to team effectiveness through clear objectives, regular 1:1s, performance and development conversations, and fostering an inclusive workplace

Requirements

  • Demonstrable expertise in plastic including plastic pollution and waste, packaging, issues across the value chain and the transition to a circular economy
  • Experience of working to drive environmental change within the private sector – ideally in companies or financial institutions related to plastics or waste issues
  • Strong experience of leading the development of operational outcomes program strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to diverse audiences
  • Proven experience of project management and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams of individuals and colleagues
