About the role

  • Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation, and investments.
  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management.
  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business.
  • Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.
  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.
  • Collaborates with other departments to understand their financial needs, gather relevant data, and assist in the creation of financial plans.
  • Facilitates complex financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
  • Examines financial data, identifying trends, evaluating financial performance, and preparing reports to communicate findings.
  • Analyzes variances between actual performance and budget/forecast, assessing the financial impact of different initiatives, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Performs financial modeling and ad-hoc analysis under minimal supervision.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting packages and formal business reviews, and participates in leadership presentations.
  • Communicates financial summaries and complex dashboard information to management, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates internally and externally with treasury, business strategy, investor relations, and enterprise financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in support of various financial initiatives.
  • Identifies and improves financial planning and analysis (FP&A) inefficiencies, implements automation or standardization initiatives, and enhances the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Interviews, selects, and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Logistics experience.
  • Certified Corporate FP&A Professional (FPAC).
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of relevant experience.
