About the role

  • Recommending, crafting, and leading Data Management solutions and initiatives, championing policy, best practice, and tooling across IP&I\n• Leading investigations and analysing data to recommend and support solutions for business areas\n• Finding opportunities to strategically implement data quality controls, data and risk management practices to mitigate risk for Colleagues, Customers, and the Group\n• Collaboratively working with colleagues and senior leaders across Insurance, Pensions & Investments, and the Group to provide value and insight for customers\n• Representing IP&I and ensuring alignment to both IP&I and Group policies\n• Driving the creation of a detailed view of IP&I's core and critical data by working with business areas, VSs, MCPs and Data Management services lab to improve data quality, mature metadata, data modelling, master data (MDM) and reference data capabilities\n• Communicating complex messaging to senior management visually and through compelling storytelling

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and developing Data Management, Data Governance policies, frameworks, and practices (including Data Quality, Ontology/Data Classification, and Data Lineage Management)\n• Technical experience in building data quality controls\n• Knowledge and practical application of leading Data Modelling, Data Structure and Data Storage teams and activities\n• SME knowledge in Collibra or Ataccama and Data Management tooling\n• Experience of leading and driving Data Governance Forums and Committees\n• Project planning / change management experience\n• Full time availability (35 hours per week)\n• Location: Leeds, Bristol or Edinburgh (hybrid working)
