Logistics Operations Co-Ordinator managing logistics activities ensuring performance targets at Volkswagen. Driving efficiency and adhering to quality standards within the logistics department.
Responsibilities
To facilitate the achievement of the Department’s Financial, OHSE, Quality, Sustainability and Productivity Targets through the implementation of appropriate KPI’s and related analysis tools and processes as well as the control and measuring of the Logistics Service Provider and other VWSA Departments Performance.
To facilitate the coordination of Logistics activities between Various VWSA Departments and the external Logistics Service Providers.
Support production with investigations regarding any Logistics supply and LSP issues.
Monitor LSP personnel on effective use of the VWSA systems i.e.: SAP.
Institute / implement KPI’s, checks and balances to ensure that the LSP adhere to VWSA prescribed procedures and requirements.
Monitor and Measure main processes (KPI’S) and ensure agreed targets, trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm.
Monitor and Measure Inventory Control Processes (KPI’S) and ensure agreed targets, trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm in order to control stock adjustments.
Investigate and monitor Financial Accounts in SAP on a weekly basis and present reports to Logistics Management and Finance Management.
Supporting and chairing Gemba and other LSP Performance Management meetings.
Monitor and measure JIT supply processes and investigate any issues regarding supply.
Requirements
Have a National Diploma/Degree Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Logistics
Have a minimum of 3 years Logistics Operations experience within an Automotive environment.
Knowledge of VWSA Process Control and Quality Management Systems.
Be computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
Be proficient in SAP system.
Have good analytical and problem solving abilities, have attention to detail.
Be able to communicate effectively up to Management level, both verbal and written.
Be able to improve existing procedures and processes.
Have good working knowledge of Warehouse and Inventory Management.
Have comprehensive understanding of JIT supply processes.
Have good understanding of OHSE requirements and Standards.
