About the role

  • Transfer cases between FBI units and update tracking databases
  • Organize and process cases received from other FBI units or external agencies and update tracking databases
  • Track progress on cases, check Courtlink notifications, update case files and tracking records, monitor workflow, and report progress
  • Administer and adhere to security procedures, record and execute permissions to case information upon written approval
  • Draft correspondence related to cases and requests to FBI divisions and field offices
  • Coordinate technical/data processing support
  • Ensure cases are closed per SOP and related documents filed or uploaded to designated databases
  • Monitor Discovery and Criminal Discovery mailboxes for discovery work requests on both enclaves
  • Coordinate with DU management on case assignments and assign work requests in LitB's case tracking system
  • Generate management reports using data from OGC-LITB case tracking systems, including Excel and pivot tables
  • Prepare documents for imaging/scanning; scan, copy and file documents
  • Perform Legal Analysis Workflow System (LAWS) and Courtlink searches
  • Develop, draft and edit reports, briefs, correspondence, proposals, and other documents
  • Proofread, merge document versions, and perform document editing before final review
  • Pull, track, and re-file documents in designated database or paper filing system per SOP
  • Prepare materials for hearings and trials; assemble notebooks and binders; tab, bind, label document collections; pack, ship, and mail correspondence
  • Retrieve case materials and complete log sheets
  • Provide front desk administrative support and visitor escort assistance
  • Provide telephone services including answering, referring calls, taking messages, providing information and scheduling appointments
  • Operate personal computers, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, phone answering systems, and shredders
  • Complete quarterly legal clerical projects to improve OGC-LITB management and mitigate legal risk
  • Reorganize and consolidate electronic and paper documents into centralized case files

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • TS/TS SCI Clearance Required
  • The ability to read and follow instructions is very important.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including PCs, printers, photocopiers, scanners, telephone systems, fax machines, numbering and binding equipment, etc.
