About the role
- Craft a secure and reliable network for DoD
- Collaborate with SMEs, customers, and users to understand strategic goals
- Plan acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components
- Support hardware acquisition and resolve interoperability issues across platforms
- Share expertise with backbone networks, cloud technologies, and core networking
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with commercial hardware and networks
- 7+ years of experience providing implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks
- 4+ years of experience with F5 LTMs
- Experienced deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network and security equipment and solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, or VMware
- Experience documenting complex network and security systems and procedures to implement and troubleshoot such systems
- Experience developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements, and working with network-based Thales Hardware Security Modules
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, and multitask and prioritize
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8570-compliant Certification such as Security+ Certification
