About the role
- Azure Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Azure network infrastructures. Supporting modernization of IT landscapes and building scalable cloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage Azure network infrastructures
- Build, operate and enhance VNet architectures, routing, subnetting, NSGs, peering and UDRs
- Configure and maintain VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, hybrid connectivity and hub-and-spoke architectures
- Administer Azure Firewall, Application Gateway (WAF), Load Balancer and Azure DNS
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Terraform, Bicep)
- Automate deployments and integrate into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Ensure compliance, security, governance and documentation
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex network and performance issues
- Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams and security experts
Requirements
- Several years of experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in networking and infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and/or Azure Bicep
- Experience with Git, CI/CD processes and modern cloud security concepts
- Experience with PowerShell or Azure CLI is a plus
- Understanding of zero-trust, segmentation and cloud security principles
- Analytical mindset, structured working style and a team-oriented approach
- Very good German and English language skills
- Certifications such as AZ-700, AZ-104, AZ-305 or CCNA/CCNP are a plus
