As a Junior Technical Artist (m/f/d), you will create particle systems, shaders, and other visual effects for our games in Godot and Unity
Serve as the bridge between game art and programming to ensure a smooth development process from concept to finished feature
Convert image data and prepare it for implementation by programmers
Implement 3D assets and animations into the game engine
Provide technical feedback to support the Game Art team in producing performance-friendly assets
Optimize textures and ensure game stability through memory and performance optimization
Develop tools and scripts to streamline the game engine workflow
Ensure high-quality gameplay and a seamless user experience during development
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Game Development, Game Art, Game Design, and Sound, to align technical and creative requirements
Requirements
Degree in Media Informatics, Game Design, or a comparable qualification/training
Basic knowledge of programming languages C# and GDScript
Ideally, initial experience in game development with a game engine such as Unity or Godot
Knowledge of shader programming is a plus
Familiarity with Blender or comparable tools is desirable
Strong communication skills in German and English
Team player with a solution-oriented working style
