Responsibilities
Design and create high-quality 2D skeletal animations using Spine for game symbols, characters, effects, and UI elements;
Collaborate with game designers and developers to implement animations;
Work with technical artists and developers to ensure animations are optimised and function properly across devices and resolutions;
Maintain consistency with the game’s visual identity, pacing, and gameplay needs;
Create and maintain clear documentation for animation setup, naming conventions, and file structures;
Contribute to the development of a modular animation system where components and effects can be reused across multiple games;
Participate in game reviews, testing, and iterations based on feedback from QA and producers;
Support the team with creative solutions to technical limitations or platform constraints;
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in 2D animation for games, preferably in the slot or casual game industry;
Proficiency in Spine (essential);
Strong understanding of game pipelines, especially how animations interact with gameplay and code;
Experience exporting and integrating Spine animations;
Familiarity with animation principles, VFX design, timing, and game pacing;
Experience writing or maintaining production documentation;
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
