Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain custom tools, scripts, and pipelines that streamline the art production process and enhance workflow efficiency.
Create shaders and materials that align with the game’s visual style, optimizing them for performance while maintaining artistic integrity.
Collaborate with artists and engineers to ensure assets are optimized for cross-platform performance without sacrificing visual quality.
Act as a bridge between the art and engineering teams, solving technical challenges related to asset integration and system performance.
Lead the development of new visual systems and pipelines, pushing the limits of current technology to achieve groundbreaking results.
Proactively address technical issues during production, ensuring a smooth development process.
Develop and maintain documentation for technical workflows, tools, and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Digital Art, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry, with a portfolio showcasing your contributions to shipped titles.
Proficiency with Unreal Engine, Python, and MEL scripting, with strong knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max).
Deep understanding of art principles, including shading, lighting, and visual effects, and the ability to maintain the game’s artistic vision while optimizing performance.
Strong desire and motivation to innovate, with experience in developing new pipelines and pushing the limits of visual systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical challenges, balancing creative needs with technical constraints.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
A deep love for gaming, especially in PvEvP and cross-platform genres, with an understanding of current and emerging technologies.
