Video / Motion Designer creating high-impact content for AI SaaS marketing and product. Bridging product, marketing, and design for effective visual narratives.
Responsibilities
Lead the creation of motion-graphic assets, video promos, social ad spots, product demo animations, thought-leadership video pieces (webinar intros/outros, LinkedIn reels, case-study micro-videos), and UI motion for our AI SaaS platform.
Translate complex product and AI concepts (e.g., guest checkout automation, retention uplift, CX copilot workflows) into clear, engaging motion stories and visuals for both technical and business (Ops/Marketing/C-suite) audiences.
Develop storyboards, mood boards, styleframes, animatics and final renders — collaborating with copywriters, designers, product marketers, motion editors, and external agencies.
Ensure brand, visual, and motion consistency across all assets — maintain a motion design system (transitions, typography, on-brand animation language) for reuse and efficiency.
Adapt content for multiple formats and platforms: social (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram), web, in-app product tours, webinar intros, conferences, and paid ad assets.
Stay ahead of motion design trends, tools & techniques (2D, kinetic typography, UI motion, simple 3D, Lottie/interactive motion) and suggest creative innovations to elevate our visual storytelling.
Support post-production and asset management: organise and catalogue master files, maintain motion-asset library, hand-off specs for web, mobile, digital ad platforms.
Measure and iterate: work with marketing/product analytics to evaluate performance of video/motion assets (engagement, conversions, drop-off) and refine design/craft accordingly.
Requirements
**Must-have:**
3–5+ years of experience as a motion designer, video designer, or equivalent in a SaaS or technology brand environment (strong preference for B2B/enterprise, tech/AI or SaaS verticals).
Demonstrated mastery of motion design tools: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop, and preferably Cinema 4D, Blender or other 3D/2.5D tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing motion work: animated explainer videos, UI motion, social video content, product launch videos, and branded motion sequences.
Excellent visual storytelling skills: able to distill complex concepts (e.g., AI, enterprise workflows, guest experience metrics) into simple, compelling visuals.
Proficient in typography, composition, colour theory, timing, easing, and motion-graphic best practices.
Experience working across formats and platforms (social, web, product UI, in-app, paid ad assets).
Collaborative mindset: comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, product, design, copy, and external vendors/agencies.
Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and maintain high quality.
**Nice-to-have:**
Experience specifically in SaaS/enterprise tech or AI companies (or B2B-tech marketing).
Experience designing motion for user-interfaces (UI motion, demo video of software) — transforming complex UI flows into visually engaging animations.
Knowledge of export formats and optimisation for digital ad platforms, WebGL / interactive motion, Lottie animations.
Some 3D or mixed-media experience (2.5D, camera, depth, light) to elevate the sophistication of motion.
Basic sound design or understanding of sync between audio and motion.
Experience in maintaining/creating a motion design system or library of assets/templates for scale.
