About the role
- Java Developer creating innovative POS software solutions for the retail industry in Düsseldorf. Engaging in agile teams to develop customer-specific Point of Sale solutions.
Responsibilities
- Development of custom POS (Point of Sale) solutions for leading retailers in the German-speaking region
- Implementation and further development of the internal retail platform
- Product development within an agile Scrum team — together with the PO, backend and cloud engineers, and software testers
- Greenfield development for new customer requirements
- Enjoy working with the latest technologies, e.g. Flutter and Dart
- Close collaboration with teams across five locations in Germany and Portugal
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of modern Java technologies such as Spring, JEE, or Akka
- Some experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito) as well as web/mobile technologies (Flutter/Dart, gRPC) or microservices architectures
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Tilt, or Kafka is a plus
- Interest in an agile working environment (Scrum) and an affinity for software development close to hardware
- Fluent German language skills
