About the role

  • Collaborate with other project disciplines to ensure integrated solutions
  • Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation
  • Partner with clients, vendors, and suppliers to generate cost estimates and contribute to proposal development
  • Create mass and energy balances to support process design
  • Produce process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Compile equipment lists, line lists, and points of connection documentation
  • Define operational parameters and performance criteria
  • Work closely with designers to translate engineering concepts into drawings
  • Author installation scope documents for construction teams
  • Provide support during on-site construction and installation phases
  • Assist with system checkout and start-up activities
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Conduct on-site surveys to assess existing conditions
  • Travel as required, with an anticipated average of 25% annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 7+ years of experience with utility systems
  • Registered Professional Engineer (preferred)
  • Experience utilizing 3D design tools (Plant 3D, VR, 3D Scans)
  • Experience with Industrial HVAC and Dust Control (preferred)
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% annually
  • Experience preparing equipment specifications, P&IDs, equipment lists, and mass and energy balances
  • Experience supporting system checkout and start-up activities
  • Mentoring or coaching junior team members (preferred)
