Provide immigration legal services to low-income immigrants.
Engage in systemic advocacy on behalf of immigrant communities.
Conduct community education and engagement activities.
Collaborate with MIRC/MSAS teams and participate in statewide programs.
Manage client cases, legal research, and representation as staff attorney duties.
Support organizational mission and participate in team-based initiatives.
Requirements
Licensed to practice law in Michigan, qualified to be admitted by waiver, or able to take the next Michigan bar exam.
Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to protecting the rights of immigrants or other persons in poverty.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient with major software and web services including Word, Excel, G Suite.
Have access to a reliable internet connection if intending to work remotely some of the time.
Applicants who have experience, especially related to immigration and poverty, will receive priority.
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to effectively communicate in Spanish.

All MIRC staff must reside in Michigan or Ohio by the first date of employment.
