About the role
- Head of Finance overseeing financial processes, team leadership, and compliance at eClear. Responsible for accounting, budgeting, and financial strategy in a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for our financial processes: strategic and operational
- Lead the Finance team and promote continued development
- Responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as liquidity management
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Support the annual audit and ensure compliance with all requirements
- Responsibility for invoice approvals, payment processes and communication with banks
- Responsibility for VAT prepayments and compliance with tax regulations
- Develop our financial strategy in close coordination with executive management
Requirements
- A degree or vocational qualification in finance, accounting or business administration
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a startup or high-growth company
- Leadership experience combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented, hands-on mentality
- Confident user of MS Office and common ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA
- Solid knowledge of HGB and practical experience in preparing financial statements
- A structured, dynamic and independent working approach with strong communication skills
- Very good German and English skills, both at business-fluent/negotiation level
