About the role

  • Overall responsibility for our financial processes: strategic and operational
  • Lead the Finance team and promote continued development
  • Responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as liquidity management
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Support the annual audit and ensure compliance with all requirements
  • Responsibility for invoice approvals, payment processes and communication with banks
  • Responsibility for VAT prepayments and compliance with tax regulations
  • Develop our financial strategy in close coordination with executive management

Requirements

  • A degree or vocational qualification in finance, accounting or business administration
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a startup or high-growth company
  • Leadership experience combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented, hands-on mentality
  • Confident user of MS Office and common ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA
  • Solid knowledge of HGB and practical experience in preparing financial statements
  • A structured, dynamic and independent working approach with strong communication skills
  • Very good German and English skills, both at business-fluent/negotiation level
