Responsible for the finance and accounting process for all aspects for the entity in Bulgaria
Lead and oversee the reconciliation of all customer transactions, analyzing and identifying issues for escalation and resolution
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and periodic reporting of financial results to headquarters
Conduct profit and cost analyses, identifying funding requirements and cost reduction strategies
Prepare and maintain operating budgets, accounting and reconciliation mechanisms of the company, ensuring appropriate treasury controls are in place
Lead the relationship with external auditors and support the financial audit process
Identify and implement areas for improvement of financial processes and efficiencies
Manage cash flow, working capital, and debt to optimize financial performance
Prepare and file financial statements and tax returns
Responsible for the CESOP reporting
Support management of banking and treasury relationships
Prepare and file regulatory reporting as required
Implement key operational processes across the company, ensuring full alignment & accountability across the organization
Liaise and collaborate with international contacts at affiliated entities
Proactive hands-on leadership, development and guidance to team members to ensure high-performance delivery and team standards
Manage performance, provide feedback, and support the career development of team members
Requirements
10 years + professional work experience as Head of Finance, Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the financial services or fintech industry
Higher education in Finance or Accounting
Relevant accountancy certifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIPA, or equivalent
Hands-on experience in building and running procedures and controls in a fast-paced environment
Leadership experience in a growth-stage company is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with forecasting models, cash flow management, budgeting, and explaining financial numbers to stakeholders
Hands-on experience in regulatory reporting and dealing with financial auditors in regulated financial institutions
Experience in a Fintech company and/or regulated institutions is a strong plus
Deep understanding of the fintech industry and products. Knowledge and experience within blockchain and crypto asset operations is a strong advantage
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and a proven history of working effectively with people at all levels both inside and outside the Company
Professional proficiency in both English and Bulgarian
Proven analytical, organizational, decision-making, and project management skills
Comfortable working in ambiguity and the ability to execute under pressure while meeting deadlines
High degree of integrity, initiative, perseverance, and leadership skills
