About the role

  • Handle daily bookkeeping and ensure timely and accurate financial entries
  • Perform bank and other reconciliations to maintain accurate records
  • Manage accounts receivable by following up with clients and maintaining professional communication
  • Record supplier invoices and perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist with VAT-related calculations, data gathering, and compliance tasks
  • Monitor the finance inbox and address internal employee queries promptly
  • Support month-end closing activities up to the Trial Balance stage
  • Assist in various ad-hoc finance tasks and internal projects as needed

Requirements

  • A Level in Accounts or currently pursuing ACCA studies
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in Malta
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic VAT principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using accounting software will be considered an asset
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
