Junior Finance Executive supporting internal finance operations for a growing boutique accounting firm in Malta. Performing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and assisting with VAT compliance tasks.
Responsibilities
Handle daily bookkeeping and ensure timely and accurate financial entries
Perform bank and other reconciliations to maintain accurate records
Manage accounts receivable by following up with clients and maintaining professional communication
Record supplier invoices and perform supplier statement reconciliations
Assist with VAT-related calculations, data gathering, and compliance tasks
Monitor the finance inbox and address internal employee queries promptly
Support month-end closing activities up to the Trial Balance stage
Assist in various ad-hoc finance tasks and internal projects as needed
Requirements
A Level in Accounts or currently pursuing ACCA studies
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in Malta
Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic VAT principles
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience using accounting software will be considered an asset
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
