About the role

Responsibilities
- Shape and refine financial strategy aligned with global expansion
- Advise on capital structure, funding pathways and investment readiness
- Build systems to be implemented by the accounts team
- Build and optimise financial models for franchise performance, royalties, CAC/LTV, and forecasting
- Establish financial KPIs, dashboards and controls for network-wide performance
- Analyse franchisee P&Ls and drive strategies to increase profitability
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on key financial decisions
- Participate in weekly executive and strategy meetings
- Support M&A activity, international structuring and high-level commercial negotiations
- Prepare the business for strategic investment
- Support investor presentations, due diligence and financial storytelling
- Advise on valuation, equity structures and governance requirements
- Design and implement robust financial systems for reporting, auditing and compliance
- Ensure best-practice governance aligned with Australian and US franchising regulations
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation standards and audit readiness
- Build scalable processes for multi-entity, multi-country finance operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader, ideally in franchising
- Background in education, consumer services, or multi-site brands (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in VC funding, capital raising and valuation modelling
- Experience with ASX or NASDAQ-listed companies, IPO processes or public-company financial governance (preferred, not essential)
- Strong understanding of international finance, tax considerations and multi-entity structures
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and commercially strategic
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with fast-moving, scaling organisations
