About the role
- Head of EMEA Consolidation and Accounting overseeing financial reporting and governance. Leading a team to optimize processes and drive improvements in finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and consolidation for all group entities.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and compliant financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards and internal governance.
- Oversee the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Maintain and enhance the group accounting and reporting framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage intercompany reconciliation and ensure consistency across entities and reporting structures.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams and management on complex transactions and reporting issues.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and standardization in accounting and consolidation activities.
- Support the CFO with management and shareholder reporting, including analysis of financial results and KPIs.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and consolidation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional excellence.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Swiss Certified Accountant) is an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting in an international or multi-entity environment.
- Proven track record in preparing consolidated financial statements and coordinating audits.
- Strong knowledge of accounting frameworks, internal controls, and financial systems.
- Experience in leading small, high-performing teams.
- Proficient in ERP and consolidation systems with a strong focus on process efficiency and automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
