Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage the agency’s accounting operations and financial reporting functions
  • Provide technical and operational leadership to professional accounting staff
  • Serve as the agency’s authority on complex accounting and compliance matters
  • Advise leadership on fiscal impacts and financial risk

Requirements

  • Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR two years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Must possess CPA certification
  • Demonstrated experience performing complex professional accounting work in a governmental or similarly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience supervising professional accounting staff
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex financial analysis
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, or improving internal control systems
