About the role

  • Government Consultant Project Manager managing complex projects within Mercer’s Government Human Services Consulting practice. Ensuring project completion with high client satisfaction while collaborating across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects from end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Work closely within high visibility projects and regularly interface with internal senior management; identify subject matter experts on the project(s) at hand
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior business leadership
  • Become a trusted advisor and help facilitate timely decision making and trade-offs throughout all relevant project stages
  • Negotiate resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare/managed care
  • Proven ability to drive moderately complex projects to completion
  • Strong stakeholder management and communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team; ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Smartsheet
