Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies by following a detailed sourcing process that incorporates sustainability, covering the commodities category.
- Responsible for working with the local and regional buyers on the execution of the global strategies previously agreed with the Griffith Purchasing Council.
- Strategic and Sustainable Sourcing.
- Be the primary contact for market expertise in commodities.
- Understanding market drivers and communicating risk/opportunity on positions.
- Develop costs for budgeting purposes in conjunction with each region.
- Identifying opportunities to standardize global suppliers around the world.
- Accountability of the global coverage performance of commodities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field
- 7 years’ experience in Category Management and Commodities
- Proficient in English
- Willing to travel up to 30% as required for project collaboration and knowledge exchange.
