About the role

  • Act as the primary technical authority for all Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) activities across rotorcraft and fixed‑wing projects.
  • Define and manage EWIS requirements; create, maintain, and trace requirement documents throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and continuously improve system‑level EWIS designs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Design, build, and test rapid prototypes; ensure attention to detail and manufacturability.
  • Support certification‑related documentation and processes (DOA/DO‑A, AC 25.1701‑1, AMC 20‑23, ARP4754, etc.).
  • Specify and validate high‑voltage DC power distribution (≥ 1000 V, 300 A) addressing segregation, partial discharge, corona, arc‑fault detection, and health‑monitoring.
  • Design aerospace wiring harnesses, select connectors, manage BOMs, and oversee build sequences and fatigue analysis.
  • Consult and collaborate with avionics, mechanical, battery, motor‑drive, and manufacturing engineers to integrate EWIS into overall aircraft architectures.
  • Combine hands‑on prototype development with system‑level design and cross‑disciplinary collaboration to deliver flight‑ready hardware.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field or at least 15+ years of aerospace‑industry experience focused on electrical harness design and routing.
  • EWIS programs, deep knowledge of electrical systems, grounding/bonding, and interior systems.
  • Strong CAD skills; basic knowledge of PDM/PLM environments, BOM creation, and manufacturing drawing specifications.
  • Solid understanding of airworthiness requirements and authorities (certification knowledge: DOA/DO‑A, AC 25.1701‑1, AMC 20‑23, ARP4754, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AC43.13‑1B, ATA 20/100, S1000D, AC 25.1701‑1, AMC 20‑23, ARP4754, and aerospace electrical specifications.
  • Hands‑on experience with DC distribution ≥ 1000 V, 300 A and HV‑DC challenges (segregation, partial discharge, corona, arc‑fault detection, health‑monitoring).
  • Working experience with lithium‑battery systems, motor drives, and high‑power electronics.
  • Experience in harness design & optimization including connector selection, BOM management, build sequences, fatigue analysis, and movement control in static and kinematic environments.
  • Target‑oriented, strong problem‑solving abilities; comfortable in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
  • Fluent English required; German or additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Only candidates eligible to work in the EU/Switzerland will be considered.

Benefits

  • Having a professional and human accompaniment in every assignment and a powerful support for your career.
  • Undertaking training courses to develop your professional skills.
  • To participate in special, dedicated events.
  • To be part of a dynamic team.
  • Workplace Hybrid (flexible work arrangement).
  • Positions accessible to people with disabilities.
